A man accused of fleeing from Greenwood County law enforcement by vehicle and by foot early Tuesday has been captured.
The Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office says 43-year-old Richard Edward Allen, hometown not listed, was captured several hours after the department issued a public call for help in finding him.
Allen allegedly fled from a traffic stop before wrecking his car and then leaving the scene on foot shortly after midnight. Further details about the incident and his capture have not been released.
Allen has several drug, burglary, theft and forgery convictions from Sedgwick County. Word on formal charges in Greenwood County is pending.
