Emporia’s home sales and the monthly supply both increased in the latest report from Sunflower Association of Realtors.
Sunflower says 60 homes sold last month, up slightly from 58 sold in June 2021 and 53 homes sold in May. Homes were typically on the market eight days before they sold, down slightly from 10 in May. The city’s housing supply, just over half a month in May, went to just over a month in June.
So far this year, Emporia has had 244 home sales, up from 236 last year and 203 in 2020.
Outside the Emporia city limits, Lyon County had 52 home sales for June, up from 46 last year. Homes were on the market an average of six days before selling. The county’s has less than a month’s worth of supply.
Through June, Lyon County is up to 212 home sales, up from 194 last year and 179 in 2020.
