A rail crossing is now back open just hours after it was closed Friday.
Lyon County Emergency Communications tells KVOE News the crossing near Roads 170 and G was reopened to traffic just before 3 pm Friday afternoon. Burlington Northern Santa Fe closed the crossing Friday morning stating track repairs as the reason.

Burlington Northern Santa Fe started the week with a crossing closure west of Emporia. It’s ending the week with a similar project.
BNSF has told Lyon County it has closed the crossing near Roads 170 and G, just west of Emporia, until further notice. Track repair is the stated reason.
The railroad closed the Lyon County Road A crossing Tuesday into Wednesday.
