Australian Cameron Smith captured the British Open championship Sunday and did it in record fashion.
Smith tied the major championship record for the lowest score to par shooting -20 for the weekend. American Cameron Young finished second with -7 on the final day to finish the tournament at -19.
Veteran Rory Mcllroy of Northern Ireland finished third shooting -2 to finish the tournament -18.
