Emporia State introduced new Athletic Director David Spafford Monday afternoon.
Emporia State President Ken Hush said Spafford joins Emporia State at a pivotal time.
Spafford said his goal is to help make Emporia State the best.
He also said he wants to make it the best experience for the student-athlete.
Spaffords first day on the job was Sunday.
