The Emporia-Lyon County Metropolitan Area Planning Commission has its monthly meeting Tuesday.
The board will look at a requested planned unit development for the so-called Mahtropolis home development in northeast Emporia. The board is revisiting the PUD (P-U-D) after residents expressed concerns about traffic congestion in that area of town as well as related plans for the city’s Traffic Safety Department to conduct a survey. Close to 30 homes are planned near the Trusler Sports Complex if this project moves forward.
In other business, Planning Commission members will also discuss revisions to the city’s zoning regulations.
The meeting starts at 6 pm at the Municipal Court Room.
