Budget planning continues for USD 252 Southern Lyon County.
The district’s board of education discussed the path forward during its regular meeting Monday night. Superintendent Mike Argabright says the discussion focused on a comparison-contrast from the fiscal 2022 budget.
Argabright says the budget process isn’t far enough along to determine final amounts. Valuation increased, so the district will have to go above the revenue-neutral rate from the fiscal ’22 budget but the levy rate will likely be set next month.
The board also approved the end of Zoom meetings, a staple of board meetings the last two years as a communications adjustment during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The board also continued strategic plan and uniform rotation plan discussions. Argabright says one of the key items for the next meeting will be to accept bids for locker room renovations at Olpe.
