Hot conditions will continue Wednesday, although the air temperatures aren’t supposed to be as hot as they were Tuesday.
Air temperatures should get to 97 by late afternoon Wednesday. This follows a high of 103 Tuesday. The peak heat index was also 103, although those two readings happened at different times Tuesday afternoon.
The current forecast calls for 100 degrees or higher Thursday through Saturday. Sunday should be just short of 100 degrees with a slight chance of storms. The low-percentage storm chance continues through at least Tuesday with highs in the mid- to upper 90s.
