Newman Regional Health Director of Business Development says his experience leading Emporia Middle School was “wonderful” and he’s getting settled into his new role at the hospital.
Bazan says he had felt a “nudge” to move in a new career direction over a year ago, well before he resigned in April — ending a 15-year career in education leadership. One thing he sees at the hospital, as he did in the Emporia school district, is the community support.
Bazan also says he’s excited to come on board as the hospital enters its second century of service to the area.
Bazan says the position is quite a bit different from his time in schools, but he also says it lets him hone his administrative duties while serving the community. He replaces McKenzie Cinelli, who is now in media relations at Wolf Creek.
