The Friends of the Emporia Public Library is off and rolling with a special book sale.
Typically, the Friends have book sales in the spring and fall, but they are into a flash sale Friday and Saturday. Friends member Gene Graber says there have been a lot of books coming into the library.
The sale at 618 Mechanic is underway until 5 pm Friday. It continues from 9 am to 2 pm Saturday. Books will be sold as marked, and unlike the more traditional book sales, there will be no bag sales with even steeper discounts.
