A solo home run by Michael A. Taylor and a 2-run home run by Bobby Witt Jr in the 8th inning powered the Kansas City Royals to a 6-3 win over the Tampa Bay Rays Saturday night.
Witt also drove in a run with a double in the 3rd inning.

Brady Singer had a quality start going 6 innings giving up 2 runs on 3 hits with 12 strikeouts.
Scott Barlow earned the win in relief pitching the 8th and 9th innings.

Cross hit .328 with 17 home runs and 50 RBI in 57 games in his junior season at Virginia Tech.
