Kansas Free For Arts has embarked on a tentative three-year endeavor focused on helping grow the organization’s reach in the local community.
KFA Executive Director Hank Osterhout announced Monday that the non-profit has officially launched its new capital campaign. According to Osterhout, the campaign was a product of 2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic saying that while the pandemic slowed the organization’s momentum, it did have a silver lining.
The campaign goal is $3 million over the next three years and Osterhout says they have three major goals to accomplish through the campaign.
Those wishing to contribute to the campaign can do so in one of two ways. Donations can be made to the KFA fund through the Emporia Community Foundation or by visiting the KFA website KSFreeforarts.org.
The campaign rollout comes just a little over a month before the third annual Halfway to Everywhere Music and Arts Festival scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 3 in downtown Emporia.
