Thursday will see the annual SOS Strong campaign come to a close.
Fundraising officially wraps up Wednesday, but the celebration is Thursday at the Lyon County State Bank event space, 902 Merchant. Besides fundraising, the campaign is important for another reason, according to SOS spokesperson Haley Brinkman. The 16 participants represent SOS and its mission of halting domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse and neglect.
Goal is $30,000. Sixteen men have been raising funds since late June, hoping to get at least $1,000 each.
