The Kansas City Royals have traded All-Star and reigning Rawlings Gold Glove outfielder Andrew Benintendi to the New York Yankees for 3 minor league pitchers, right-handers Chandler Champlain and Beck Way, and left-hander T.J. Sikkema.
Benintendi is hitting .320 with three homers, and 39 RBIs.
The Royals will announce a corresponding move for a player to take the place of Benintendi on the roster.
