The annual kickoff to the Lyon County Fair brought a lot of people to the Fairgrounds Anderson Building on Thursday.
The Friends of 4H dinner filled the building with people and with food before the event schedule begins Friday with the dog, hand pet and cat show. 4H participant Garland Hanlin was glad to have a chance to thank a lot of 4H supporters.
4H participant Kate Rees is getting ready for her final fair as a participant. She says being involved has helped her a lot.
4H activities continue both weekend days, with clothing construction at 8 am Saturday, followed by conference judging at 9 am, exhibits at 1:30 pm and the public fashion revue at 6 pm Saturday. The horse show is at the grandstand beginning at 8:30 am Sunday.
KVOE will have Lyon County Fair reports beginning Monday, with reports at 6:15 and 9:15 am.
