The Kansas City Chiefs are ready to begin day 3 of training camp.
The team continues to go through padless practices during the contact integration period.
Running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire says his focus during training camp is to be prepared for anything.
For defensive lineman Chris Jones it all begins up front.
The Chiefs have signed Veteran defensive end Carlos Dunlap. ESPN is reporting it’s a one-year deal worth up to $8 million.
The Chiefs’ defense was 29th in the league in sacks last season and lost one of its top pass-rushers in veteran Melvin Ingram, who left in free agency to the Miami Dolphins.
Dunlap was Seattle’s most accomplished edge rusher and was coming off a strong finish in which he recorded eight sacks over the final six games. He finished with 8.5 sacks last season.
