Aaron Judge hit a solo home run in the bottom of the 9th with 1 out and the New York Yankees walked off with a 1-0 win over the Kansas City Royals Thursday night.
Brady Singer had shut out the Yankees thru 7 innings on 1 hit and struck out 10.
Judges’ home run was only the 2nd hit of the night for the Yankees.
The Royals were shut out on 4 hits. M.J. Melendez had 2 of the hits. The Royals stranded 8 baserunners.
Royals Manager Mike Matheny said it was a tough one to lose.
