It’s been the traditional opener for years, and once again the dog show kicked off the 4H show schedule at the 2022 Lyon County Fair.
Cooper Spade had the champion dog for obedience, Rue. Spade says it’s been an up-and-down ride, but things worked well Friday.
Spade says the training regimen varies.
BreAnna Gasche had the reserve champion for obedience and senior showmanship. She was pleased with how things went, and she says there’s more work to getting a dog ready than people realize.
Gasche says it’s important for the dog — and its handler — to be cool in the competition.
