It’s always good to start something at a young age.
For 25 wrestlers ranging from Kindergarten through 8th grade, they got to put their wrestling techniques to the test in the 2nd annual mini wrestling clinic put on by the Emporia High girls wrestling team that wrapped up on Wednesday.
Head coach Shawn Russell said the clinic is helping expose the sport to a younger age group.
Kiana Flores-Delgado is glad younger kids are looking to get into the sport.
Virginia Munoz, who placed second at state this past winter, said it’s great for kids to have someone to look up to.
