Court proceedings continue to move forward for two defendants in the Jesus Avila murder case.
Both Andrew Granado and Jovan Pecina waived their rights to speedy trials during hearings Wednesday. They are now set for status conference hearings Nov. 18.
Both men are accused of first-degree murder, aggravated robbery, conspiracy on both the prior counts, arson and other charges in Avila’s death in September 2017.
