The 2022 Lyon County Fair is in full swing.
Hundreds of local residents made their way to the fairgrounds Thursday night for the first night of the carnival. Lyon County Fairboard member Ken Duft says the carnival brings a whole new atmosphere to the community.
The carnival will continue each night now through Aug. 13 from 6 pm to 10 pm. Wristbands can be purchased for $25 each night.
4H fair shows resume Friday with the rabbit, beef and bucket calf shows through the day, followed by the sheep and goat shows Saturday and the swine and poultry shows Sunday. Grandstand events begin Saturday with the ranch rodeo and continue through Aug. 13 with the demolition derby closing down the fair.
