The Kansas City Royals turned it on late in an 8-3 win over the Chicago White Sox Wednesday night.
M.J. Melendez hit a solo home run in the 7th to give the Royals a 4-3 lead.
The Royals added 4 more runs in the 8th.
Kyle Isbel drove in 2 runs with a single. Isbel scored on a M.J. Melendez single. Melendez scored on a Salvador Perez single.
The Royals and White Sox play again this afternoon. Zack Greinke will be the starting pitcher with the first pitch at 1:10 pm.
