Beef Fest is ready to launch this weekend with several activities for the community.
Beef Fest committee member Scott Case says activities will run from Friday to Sunday. This year the public will be able to enjoy a new addition: a cornhole tournament Saturday morning.
Friday’s activities include the livestocker show at the Emporia Sale Barn, a seminar at the Bowyer Community Building, a ranch feed and the annual Ranch Rodeo. Following the cornhole tournament and burger feed courtesy of KVOE Saturday morning, evening activities include the annual awards banquet, steak dinner and live entertainment from comedian Etta May.
Beef Fest concludes Sunday with a golf tournament at the Emporia Municipal Golf Course.
