Emporia State University is welcoming students back to campus.
Hornet Move-In activities are in full swing at Schallenkamp, Abigail Morse and the Towers Complex. Hornet Helpers returned to the equation for the first time in three years, and Delaney Leclouse says there was a fun atmosphere at the Towers Complex.
Incoming student Anna Phillips of Paola says Emporia State was attractive for several reasons, including the level of education, affordability and the quality of the track program. She admitted overpacking as she approached the Towers Complex.
Emporia State graduate Amanda Gutierrez was dropping off a daughter, Avery.
Assistant Residence Life Director Kayla Landgren was glad to see current students helping the incoming ones.
Students are also taking part in orientation activities as well, including a meet-and-greet Thursday evening.
Welcome Week officially begins Monday — the first day of classes. KVOE will broadcast from the Welcome Back Block Party from 5-7 pm Monday. Photos from Hornet Move-In are online at KVOE.com.
