Sports betting is set to launch in Kansas.
Governor Laura Kelly announced Thursday that sportsbooks at Kansas’ four state-owned casinos, Boot Hill Casino & Resort in Dodge City, Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane, Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway, and Kansas Crossing Casino & Hotel in Pittsburg can accept wagers in person and on mobile platforms beginning Sept. 1 and will officially open on Sept. 8.
Tribe-owned casinos are still working with the state of Kansas for sports wagering. They’ll be authorized to launch when they’re ready.
