Experience returns for the Emporia High girls tennis team.
The Spartans return both of their doubles teams that qualified for state last year.
One of those duos returning are seniors Kaitlyn Velasquez and Lillee Frank.
Velasquez said having that state experience pays off to even a longer stay at state.
Frank battled last season and is healthy heading into this season.
Also returning is the doubles team of junior Ash Lynn Foraker and senior Kailey Reynoso.
Coach Saul Trujillo likes the experience he has returning.
The Spartans open up their season on Sept. 1 with a home tournament.
