Defensively M J Melendez threw out a runner trying to stretch a single into a double in the 9th inning.
Salvador Perez threw out a runner trying to steal 3rd in the 10th.

The Royals and Rays play again Saturday afternoon. Kris Bubic will be the starting pitcher for the Royals. The first pitch is set for 3:10 pm.
