The search for two children allegedly abudcted late Sunday afternoon has ended well.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 7-year-old Marlaya Owsley and 4-year-old Cassiah Owsley were “recovered safely” by officers with Kansas City, Missouri, Police.
The suspect, 27-year-old Jordan Owsley, is still at large. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation says Owsley is the biological father of the children he allegedly abducted, and authorities say he allegedly shot and killed an acquaintance of the mother.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation has issued an AMBER Alert after two children were allegedly abducted in Kansas City, Missouri, late Sunday afternoon.
The KBI says the Missouri State Highway Patrol requested the AMBER Alert after the children, 7-year-old Marlaya Owsley and 4-year-old Cassiah Owsley, were taken from their mother by the suspect, later identified as 27-year-old Jordan Owsley, during a reportedly violent incident where Jordan Owsley allegedly shot and killed an acquaintance of the mother.
Jordan Owsley was reported driving westbound in a white Kia Optima with the Missouri license plate VF2 E2B. He is a black male, 5-foot-5 and 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Marlaya Owsley was last seen wearing an orange top, pink and blue shorts and brown sandals. Her black hair was in a ponytail pulled to the front.
Cassiah Owsley was last seen wearing a pink, blue and white romper with spaghetti straps and pink and white shoes. Her black hair was in braids with beads.
