The Kansas City Chiefs have cut its roster down by five players. Offensive tackle Roderick Johnson is being released, and quarterback Dustin Crum, running back Tayon Fleet-Davis, wide receiver Aaron Parker and linebacker Mike Rose have been waived by the club.
The Chiefs have until 3 pm Tuesday to get to the 53-man roster limit.
The Chiefs are doubling JuJu Smith-Schuster’s per-game roster bonus from $30,000 to $60,000, according to Field Yates of ESPN. In total, Smith-Schuster will have the opportunity to make over $500,000 more than previously agreed by appearing in a full slate of games.
