The Royals scored 3 runs in the 1st inning. Hunter Dozier singled to drive in a run and Nick Pratto doubled driving in 2 runs.
The Padres scored 2 runs in the 2nd inning and took the lead with 2 runs in the 3rd inning.
Royals Manager Mike Matheny says they need to get greedy.
