Coming to Newman Regional Health is the culmination of a long-time goal for new General Surgeon Dr. Bradon Bitter.
Bitter comes to Emporia from Wichita where he completed his five-year residency following his graduation from the University of Kansas Medical School. Bitter brings an impressive list of specializations with him to Newman in the areas of laparoscopic surgery, endoscopy, gastrointestinal and colon surgery and hernia repair just to name a few.
Bitter says he considered a few career paths before landing on medicine in his formative years.
Dr. Bitter holds Bachelor’s Degrees in biochemistry and Spanish from Wichita State University and obtained his Doctorate of Medicine from KU Med School. Dr. Bitter is now accepting patient referrals, is board qualified through the American College of Surgeons and is trained to operate Newman’s da Vinci XI robotic surgery system.
Dr. Bitter will practice alongside fellow Newman General Surgeons Dr. Rebecca Douglass, Dr. Tim Harris, and Dr. Matthew Turner.
