As the level of competition has continued to increase in the game of disc golf, course designs have had to match that level.
On KVOE’s Morning Show Thursday, course designer Eric McCabe discussed the process involved in designing such courses. Over his career, McCabe’s name has been linked to several notable course designs, including the Supreme 18 at Jones Park in use this week.
McCabe, a one-time world champion himself, says designing courses such as this requires an understanding of both the talent level and the equipment being used.
In designing the Supreme 18 course, McCabe says he also had to consider the terrain of the area.
