The Kansas City Royals dropped their second consecutive game against the Chicago White Sox Thursday afternoon, 7-1.
The Royals took a 1-0 lead in the third inning on an RBI fielder’s choice by MJ Melendez.
Chicago tied the game at 1 on an RBI single by Elvis Andrus which was followed by a 2-run home run by Andrew Vaughn.
The White Sox added two each in the sixth and the eighth.
Michael Massey went 3-for-3 at the plate for the Royals.
The Royals continue their six-game road trip Friday in Detroit against the Tigers at 6:10 pm. Daniel Lynch will be the starting pitcher for the Royals.
The game will not be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM due to coverage of KU football.
