The Emporia State cross country teams opened their season at the Wichita State J-K Gold Classic Saturday.
The women finished in 2nd place. They were led by Freshman Tayler Williams who finished in 10th place.
Sophomore Irina Honc finished in 13th place. Freshman Ayden Kearney finished in 15th place and Sophomore Bina finished in 19th place.
The Emporia State men finished in 3rd place. Sophomore Tyler Swift finished in 13th place to lead Emporia State. Sophomore Jamie Diaz finished in 15th place and Cody Achillies finished in 20th place.
The next meet will be at Missouri Southern on September 17th.
