The Emporia High boys soccer team opened play in the Wichita South Titan Classic with a 5-2 win over Wichita Heights Monday.
Zander Keosybounheuang, Jefry Linares, Mats Goerres each scored a goal. Giovanni Garcilazo scored 2 goals.
The Spartans will play Dodge City, the number 1 ranked team in the state, on Thursday.
With the win, the Emporia High boys soccer team improves to 3-0 to start the season.
