Greenwood County deputies say a juvenile was turned over to intake and adults were arrested on suspicion of unrelated criminal activity after an alleged threat against a school.
The Sheriff’s Office says deputies were made aware of a threat made against a currently unspecified school via social media Saturday, including an alleged photo of a firearm. Deputies worked in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and found a 15-year-old suspect in Madison. Once reaching that point, deputies obtained a search warrant and found a pellet gun believed to be the same one displayed on social media.
The juvenile was turned over to juvenile intake after being arrested on suspicion of criminal threat. Two adult residents of the home were arrested on suspicion of drug distribution.
Deputies say there is no threat to a school or the public as a result of this incident.
