Country music legend Sara Evans was in Emporia last November for the city’s annual All Veterans Tribute concert. She’s coming back this week.
Known for songs like “Suds in the Bucket,” and “A Real Fine Place to Start,” Evans has a free concert set for 7 pm Thursday at White Auditorium. Online reservations are needed by going online to www.emporiaconcert.com.
The concert is sponsored by Simmons Pet Food.
Evans rose to fame after her debut album Three Chords and The Truth gained critical praise back in 1997. Since that time, Evans has recorded eight studio albums, charted more than 20 songs on the Billboard Hot Country Song Charts and has been nominated for more than a dozen CMA awards over her career.
Doors open at 6pm. Opening act performance, Ash Ruder, begins at 6:30pm.
