Some of the very best short films from filmmakers both local and abroad will be hitting the silver screen starting Friday night.
The 2022 No Coast Film Festival kicks off Friday evening at the Emporia Granada Theatre. Film screenings will begin at 6 pm and run until 8 pm.
Rosalie Krenger of No Coast says they’re excited for the doors to open to the public.
Saturday’s screenings will begin at 10 am and will run until 8 pm with blocks of family-friendly films, documentaries and an after-dark block beginning at 6:35 pm.
Sunday will see the conclusion of festivities with the “Best of the Fest” screening, awards ceremony, workshops and panel discussions.
Krenger says a major goal of No Coast is to help grow the number of filmmakers in the local community, and the workshops and panels they are offering are great resources to accomplish that goal.
Nearly 200 submissions were received for this year’s festival which a selection committee widdled down to 55 selections ranging in time between three to 25 minutes. As always, the festival is free to attend and moviegoers are invited to come and go as they please.
