The Emporia State volleyball team rallied for a 5-set win over Fort Hays State Saturday.
Fort Hays won the first two sets 25-18, 25-16.
Emporia State would bounce back to win the 3rd set 25-21 and the 4th set 25-15.
In the 5th set Emporia State jumped out to a 7-0 lead before Fort Hays would take a 13-12 lead. The Lady Hornets scored the final 3 points for the 15-13 win.
Coach Bing Xu was pleased with the way the team kept battling.
Leah Mach led the offense finishing with a match-high 18 kills.
The Lady Hornets are now 3-7 for the season and 1-1 in MIAA play. They will host Washburn Tuesday night.
