Funeral services are coming Tuesday for longtime Emporia florist Sharon Ewing, who passed away earlier this month.
West Side Baptist Church will host services at 10:30 am, with burial following at Greenwood Cemetery just south of Emporia. Visitation is from 6:30-8 pm Monday at Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home in Lebo.
Ewing was born in 1957 in Saronville, Nebraska, and moved to Emporia in 1975. She worked at Emporia Floral and Riverside Garden before starting Designs by Sharon in 1993. Besides her time as a florist, Ewing was also involved in the American Business Women’s Association, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Prairie Ridge Pioneer and Muzzle Loading Club and other organizations.
Ewing was 65 when she passed away Sept. 5.
