Typically, political candidates at the state and federal level use a public or commercial venue for their local appearances. That’s not the case for Patrick Schmidt, a Democrat running for the Second Congressional District.
Schmidt will appear at 902 Rural, a home owned by Abigail and Daniel Worley. The meet-and-greet begins at 3 pm.
Schmidt is running against incumbent Republican Jake LaTurner. The Second District is expanding to include Lyon County after the Kansas Legislature’s redistricting efforts earlier this year.
