CareArc is starting to distribute special COVID-19 booster vaccines starting Monday.
The booster shots are targeted towards the Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 subvariants, which now account for at least 90 percent of cases across the country.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says these should be administered two months or more after a person’s most recent COVID-19 shot if people are at least age 12.
The vaccine schedule has been announced:
*Mondays are for adult Moderna vaccines, both primary and booster shots
*Tuesdays are for pediatric Moderna vaccines
*Wednesdays are for adult Pfizer vaccines, both primary and booster
*Thursday is for pediatric Pfizer shots
To schedule an appointment, call CareArc at 620-342-4864.
