The Kansas City Royals rallied to defeat the Seattle Mariners 13-12 in their final home game of the season Sunday.
Seattle scored 8 runs in the 5th inning and had an 11-2 lead going to the bottom of the 6th when the Royals scored 11 runs. Michael Massey hit a 2-run home run to start the scoring in the inning. He would drive in two more runs with a single in the 6th inning.
Hunter Dozier was 3 for 3 for the game with 2 RBI.
The Royals are off Monday. They will close out the season with 9 road games, 3 at Detroit beginning Tuesday and 6 at Cleveland beginning Friday.
