CareArc is updating its sliding fee scale for root canal services following approval by the Board of Directors Tuesday.
CareArc Dental Health Clinic Director Dr. Regan Orr delivered a presentation on the center’s sliding fee scale for root canals during the monthly CareArc board meeting. According to Orr, when it comes to the cost of performing root canals, the expenses encompass far more than just the procedure itself.
Dr. Orr says the time of the procedure itself is also a factor that has to be considered.
The sliding scale determines fees for services based on an individual’s income.
According to Dr. Orr the new fee scale will be more “sustainable” for the health center. Dr. Orr stated that the new scale does not require patients to pay the full cost up front as they can still use a payment plan as needed. The new scale will go into effect in the next 30 days.
You can find the new scale online with this story at KVOE.com. For questions or more clarification patients are asked to contact CareArc by calling 620-342-4864.
Separately, the health center saw a net gain of $52,000 which is more favorable than the budgeted net loss of $9,000 for the month of August. Net revenues for the month came in at $879,000, two percent under budget.
The health center is reporting a year-to-date net gain of $410,000.
In other business, board members approved the creation of a new policy for collections of non-clinic services.
The CareArc Board of Directors will reconvene Tuesday, Oct. 25 at noon.
