The Emporia High cross country teams competed at Winfield Thursday afternoon.
The Spartan girls finished sixth with 157 points. Ashlyn Garriott was the first to finish for EHS. She finished 22nd with a time of 22:56.66. Ariella Macias was 29th with a time of 23:45.85.
The Spartan boys finished ninth with 226 points.
Andrew Cunningham led the Spartan boys with a 32nd-place finish with a time of 19:48.82. Talan Tabares was 33rd with a time of 19:51.82.
EHS will next be in action next Saturday at El Dorado.
