A Hartford woman was transported to Newman Regional Health following a crash in Hartford Friday morning.
Lyon County Deputies, Fire District 5 and Emporia/Lyon County EMS were all called to the intersection of Congress and Plumb in Hartford for a two-vehicle injury accident. According to Lyon County Deputy Brandon Early, 17-year-old Caide Timmons of Emporia was traveling southbound on Congress in a 2006 Toyota Highlander and was approaching the intersection at Congress and Plumb.
Timmons failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with an eastbound 2017 GMC Acadia driven by 36-year-old Jessica Olson of Hartford. Olson suffered reported injuries to her arm and was taken to Newman.
Timmons declined medical treatment and was issued a citation for failure to stop at a stop sign. Both were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.

One person has been taken to Newman Regional Health after a crash in Hartford on Friday.
Lyon County Undersheriff John Koelsch says a female, age and name currently not listed, was hospitalized.
Early indications are two vehicles crashed in the 300 block of East Plumb around 7:30 am. Additional details are coming from the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
