The Madison Bulldogs handed Lyndon its first loss of the season 40-26 on the Area Game of the Week Friday night.
Madison found the end zone twice in the first half thanks to a pair of runs by senior quarterback Bryson Turner, one from 9 yards out and the other from 24-yards. Lyndon’s scores came on a 2-yard run by senior Evan Feuerborn and a 70-yard kickoff return by junior Ethan Ramey.
Lyndon found the end zone twice in the second half on a 41-yard touchdown run by Feuerborn and a 5-yard run by junior Jalen Massey. Turner found the end zone four more times to give his team a two-score lead and a late interception by senior Gavin Isch gave the Bulldogs the win.
Turner ended the night with 358 yards of total offense and six touchdowns. He says this was a game they had circled on the calendar.
Head Coach Alex McMillian says this was a big test for his team and the schedule will only get tougher.
Lyndon was led by Jalen Massey with 132 yards of total offense and one touchdown.
With the win, Madison improves to 4-1 as Lyndon falls to 4-1.
