The William Allen White Children’s Book Award ceremonies are taking place this weekend.
Activities begin Friday with Authors on the Porch at Red Rocks State Historic Site, 927 Exchange, followed by activities in the Emporia State Memorial Union from 7:30-10:30 am Saturday and the official author award ceremony on campus at 11 am.
This year’s winners are Rodman Philbrick for his book Wildfire and Dan Gemeinhart for The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise.
