Funeral arrangements have been announced for retired Emporia State University professor Leo Pauls who passed away last week.
Pauls, 82, passed Wednesday in his home. Pauls, a native of Hutchinson, enjoyed a 45-year-career as a professor and teacher, including 35 years at ESU before his retirement in 2007. Pauls was also named an ESU Distinguished Alumni in 2018.
In addition to his work in the classroom, Pauls was an active member of Twelfth Avenue Baptist Church, the International Reading Association, The Pigeon Association, Miniature Train Club and the CAIRS Group.
Pauls is survived by his wife of 57-years Karen, two sons Mark and Eric, two sisters and three grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Tuesday from 7 to 8 pm at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Twelfth Avenue Baptist Church.
