With a little more than a month remaining before the Nov. 8 general election, US Senate candidate Reverend Mark Holland made a stop at a popular Emporia establishment Monday.
Holland made a campaign stop at Mulready’s Pub at 717 Commercial for a meet-and-greet with local constituents. Holland says if elected his first major focus will be codifying Roe v Wade.
Holland adds state wages are another area in need of improvement.
Holland believes there is currently a “culture war” at the federal level. He says we need to move away from this so-called war and get into the habit of “solving problems.”
Holland is a United Methodist minister and formerly served as the mayor of Kansas City, Kansas. Holland will face Republican incumbent Jerry Moran in the Nov. 8 general election.
Holland’s stop comes a little more than a week before KVOE begins its series of Candidate Forum interviews highlighting local races:
